56 POUNDS TO GO!!!!!

I am officially starting this new year at a weight of 202.8. By the end of the year I am setting my goal of 140. This is very do-able if I set my mind to it and work hard. I will weigh in every Sunday and will post on this page.

This is my year. I can feel it deep inside. I am tired of making the new years resolution of losing weight and not sticking to it. So I'm going to try things my way this year! No more fad diets, giving up foods I love, counting calories, or weighing ...

This is my year. I can feel it deep inside. I am tired of making the new years resolution of losing weight and not sticking to it. So I'm going to try things my way this year! No more fad diets, giving up foods I love, counting calories, or weighing every bit of food that I put into my mouth. I have done all these things and they have not worked. About 3 months ago I just started doing things my way. I did't give up my soda, or my chocolate in which I am addicted to. I have just made my portions smaller; and in those three months of no exercising, still eating the foods I love, and no pills or "shakes", I have lost 17.2 pounds. So whatever I am doing is working for me. I do love to exercise when I actually do it, its just the motivation to do is what is hard for me. So I still have things I need to work on in order to get things straight.
I have not always been overweight. I actually was about 135lbs up until my senior year in high school. This is when I met my husband. Let me tell you, he can eat. He does the strongman thing, and can eat a horse. So I started to eat just like him. Probablly tripling what I use to eat, and now with my lifestyle changing from select softball, to pretty much watching tv the weight starting adding up. Then I got married, I got comfortable and even more fat. Then I got pregnant. Never made it back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 188.
So this year is going to be different. Im doing it my way, and tired of making excuses. Some goals I would like to reach this year is to be able to run a mile without walking. Previously when I was in Highschool I could run a mile in 8:38; so possibly I could get to that number eventually. I would also like to be able to run a 5k.
So heres to a new year and a new me!
