Determination
I've always been active my whole life. I've been practicing kendo for over 10 years. During high school, I was a swimmer, hurdler, cheerleader, and played soccer. However, I was never that skinny girl. No matter how active I was, I could never have washboard abs. The only time I can manage to have a flat tummy was when I'de "try" to starve myself. (I'm still picking at food =P) Then, after the process of losing the weight, I would gain twice as much back. My weight has fluctuated 20lbs up and down since I was 14. I was the heaviest in elementary school...about 137ish...and I remember the summer after 8th grade. High School is going to start..and I DID NOT want to be left out, because I'm fat. So I worked out like crazy and ate once a day. I lost about 15lbs. I continued to lose weight through peer pressure to "fit in" during high school.....I had a busy life...worked 2 jobs...finished highschool early and started community college. I had no days off nor no hours to rest...yet I still found myself working out. Soon, my diet consisted of diet coke and pretzels...ONLY. I clapsed...and let it all go..and gained it back... I felt so unhealthy and unstable..then...I met the love of my life. After so many inspirational talks we had...I come to realize..(about time) that diet is 80% what you eat...when I thought "diet" meant..."exercising as much as you can..so you can eat" Still, I struggle with the choices I make to put in my body. However, I want to lose weight the "right" way and maintain it without rebounding. I'm 5'2 so you can imagine how big I would be at 127.
