Starting the 5% Spring challenge on Saturday. I have been struggling big time. I am now near my highest weight when I started on Sparkpeople. I am going to try to make me a priority and exericse. I haven't done anything in close to a year. I will check in with my teams daily. I will log food and exericse most days. My goal will be to lose a pound a week. Hi! I'm Tova and I am 44 years old. I have about 50 lbs to lose. And I am scared to even start because I am scared to fail. If I don't start then although I am still fat, at least I didn't fail! I have started and failed too many times to count. I work full time, go to school and have a dh and 3 kids.
5/3/10 Well, I am doing this. I am just about 20 pounds down. If I can stick with this, so can you!
9/10/10 I am struggling. Summer has been more difficult than I anticipated. But I will not let that stop me from reaching my goal of a healthy lifestyle. Everyday is a new start!
3/3/11 I am now 45. I have been doing Sparkpeople for over a year now. And I am now close (which I have been at before, up and down and up and down....) to 30 pounds down. I have gotten back into running. And have gotten the family to join me. We are signed up for a 5K in a few weeks. And seem to be on "target" to be at goal weight by my anniversary in August. Drinking water is now easy. I just need to get past 150 to feel I can get to goal. Hope to get there in a few weeks!
4/30/11 Well, I am struggling yet again. I am now up yet again. I will win this battle. I am recommitting to eatting more healthy foods. Foods that make me feel better. When I eat foods that aren't good for me, I feel sick to my stomach. I ask myself "why did you eat that?" And yet I eat it again and again. I need to learn from my mistakes.
9/7/11 Well, I am close to 46. And I am struggling. I am back up and no where near that goal weight. Nor even past 150 which seems to be a major block for me. Today is the start of the BLC17. I haven't exercised all summer. I have been back at work (school) for 4.5 weeks. I need to make me a priority. This is the first step.

My daughter's Bat Mitzvah is now coming up in Dec, 2012. I want to be close to goal weight by then. In order to do that, I need to commit and follow a program!
I want to be able to go for hikes with the Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts and not get winded. It is getting better.
is follow the 17 day diet. I can do anything for 17 days!
I want to walk 3 days/wk. I want to run and train for a 5K 3 days/wk. I also want to work out on the Wii at least 2 days/week. That includes Wii Fit Plus, Walk It Out, Sport Resort, DDR and/or Outdoor Challenge.

I love to quilt. But working full time and going to school full time leaves little time for quilting. I hope to find more "me" time.
