I'm a vegetarian who can't cook well. I'm trying to learn how to cook, eat a healthy diet, eat less chocolate and lose weight. I'm here to find cooking ideas. I have been following Eat to Live book by Joel Furhman.

I'm finding out that when I eat mostly fruits and veggies I lose weight (I've lost over 15 pounds) and when I start eating the junk the weight comes back (hey doesn't that makes sense). And here is the best part, I'm never hungry.

I exercise 40 minutes ...

I exercise 40 minutes on my elliptical, and I have been doing P90X three times a week (finished P90X and will start again sometime). I also do some exercise DVDs, lift weights and other exercise. I always need ideas for other exercise ideas.

My Goals:
Losing weight by eating healthy foods. Learning to cook will help.

I have been following the Eat To Live plan.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies and some beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

My Program:
Exercise 20 minutes a day on the elliptical and 20-30 minutes with DVD cadio exercises. I also lift weights with exercise DVD's and other exercise.

Personal Information:
I have been teaching kids to play the piano for 20 years. I like playing piano and guitar. I like to listen to rock, movie music, classical and jazz.
Scifi and action adventure movies are my favorite movies to go see.
Reading books is very fun and exiciting. It's takes me away from it all. I like scifi, action adventure and fantasy books the best.

Other Information:
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I live in Kansas.

Lol on that not want a shock!! But hey your doing a lot and I mean A LOT better then me with your exercise and your eating...me I screwed up like big time!! But today was a really good day and I feel pretty darn good in fact so I good I think this round I will be able to stick to it(crosses fingers)

Great workout I do so love a good walk emoticon nice getting those hills!! lol I love me some hills! I have to wait until my foot is completely healed for any long walks. And then there are the bees now that it is warmer out..and I am terrified of those itty bitty bees...and they can make me run lol good for interval training emoticon

thanks me too that foot had hurt! It was a plantars something or other and it hurt.

Hi Kim! emoticon I had a rude awaking call last night... I stood on the scale last night and I was shocked to see what I had done to myself! So in spite of low energy and my foot I did an interval 40 minute workout today!! I did Chalean's extreme interval training! It felt GREAT!! I did have to be careful on some of the exercises due to my foot but I did manage to work up a great sweat and kill my muscles..so all in all GREAT!! lol
