I'm a vegetarian who can't cook well. I'm trying to learn how to cook, eat a healthy diet, eat less chocolate and lose weight. I'm here to find cooking ideas. I have been following Eat to Live book by Joel Furhman.

I'm finding out that when I eat mostly fruits and veggies I lose weight (I've lost over 15 pounds) and when I start eating the junk the weight comes back (hey doesn't that makes sense). And here is the best part, I'm never hungry.

I exercise 40 minutes ...

I exercise 40 minutes on my elliptical, and I have been doing P90X three times a week (finished P90X and will start again sometime). I also do some exercise DVDs, lift weights and other exercise. I always need ideas for other exercise ideas.

My Goals:
Losing weight by eating healthy foods. Learning to cook will help.

I have been following the Eat To Live plan.

Eating lots of fruits and veggies and some beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

My Program:
Exercise 40 minutes a day on the elliptical. I also lift weights, do exercise DVD's and other exercise.

Personal Information:
I have been teaching kids to play the piano for 20 years. I like playing piano and guitar. I like to listen to rock, movie music, classical and jazz.
Scifi and action adventure movies are my favorite movies to go see.
Reading books is very fun and exiciting. It's takes me away from it all. I like scifi, action adventure and fantasy books the best.

Other Information:
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I live in Kansas.

How many calories for a cup of blueberries with a quart of heavy cream poured over top? emoticon Just kidding! I did have to lay off the nut butters due to the calories even though they're the good fats they're just too tempting for me whille I'm learning moderation. Yes waistline is down 2" so that is a plus. (or a minus however one looks at it emoticon ) It takes me awhile to get to the blogs as well- I had to turn that off of my feed because it was just too overwhelming so I just check on peopl's spark pages when I can catch up a little so I completely get it. Hope you get some rest though. emoticon

Nope don't taste metal...these are stainless steel with light pink brackets...kinda pretty but really annoying...how long did you need your braces for? I have to wear these for 2 years. emoticon

Yeah that is what happened to me at the end of Cathe's live stream...i was doing an awesome workout and the last 10 minutes was frozen! I am just hoping it was the weather...will try it again on a better day with good weather...if it happens again i will have to cancel Cathe ondemand.

Man has eating become over rated with these braces! do you remember eating with braces for the first while when you had your braces in...how long did it take for you to get used of something always in your mouth? emoticon

Thanks for stopping by to say Hi! emoticon I usually delete my blogs after a couple of weeks. I might start keeping some so I can look back pn steps of progress. I'm doing great on wheat free and gluten free (4 weeks so far and no cravings) I;m adding a few more things to the list and also cutting back on even the healthy stuff. (I eat way too many fresh blueberries!!) It will take some time for my body to process all of this but when it does it will be permanent as are the changes. One would think the weight and inches would be literally melting off, but only 2 lbs so far. I'm sticking with it though- feeling great. How are you my friend? Hope your summer is going well.
