52 year old female that recently completed a doctorate degree. Blamed weight gain and poor health habits on stressors of returning to graduate work after years away from academia and late night studying snacking. The good news is I accomplished receiving the degree, the bad news is that I have gained approx. 20 pds. Returned to weight losing routines and habits that worked 20 yrs. ago but accepting that same methods that worked for a 30 yr. old does not work as quickly for a 50+ yr. old. It was "easier" to work-out when I had younger children and not working full-time. Now my children are young adults (2 still home), I work full-time & feel like I have no time. I hate how I look & how I feel. My clothes are too tight & I hate seeing photos of myself. I know I need to readjust & find new methods to lose weight and have a healthier life.
