Hi there! My name is Jenna. I am 30 years old and from South Florida, but I recently moved to North Carolina. I joined SparkPeople in March of 2007. I did an awesome job, I lost over 100 pounds, but...I put it ALL plus some back on....here is why...(I know I shouldn't have an excuse)!

In January of 2009 I was totally immobilized because of a foot/ankle injury (three years later, I am still dealing with it). I have a very unusual injury...lucky me. I had several doctors opinions and they all stated that surgery could cause more harm t3 good because of the location of the injury (about 30 pounds heavier than my lowest weight of 201.8) the weight would be an issue for recovery after surgery, so I decided to decline it. However, I was still in an orthopedic boot and told to rest my foot. Well, being immobilized for 11 months and not working out but still eating like I was working out....I basically balooned up like a puffer fish. Well, NOW I feel awful and uncomfortable (my clothes still fit but they are tight) I FINALLY got permission from my doctor to start a weight lifting routine and low impact cardio.
I guess the important thing is, is that I am back. My foot still isn't healed and NEVER will be 100%. It's constantly swollen and will continue to be. I just hope that getting all this extra weight off will help with the swelling and make the pain less noticeable. After I reach my goal, then maybe, just maybe I'll consider going through the difficult surgery and the long and painful recovery.

I have to do this!!! I want to be healthy!!! I want to look great and feel great too!! I will do this and I will reach my weight loss goal. I am Driven for SUCCESS!!!

I was born and raised in S. FL. I recently moved to the beautiful state of North Carolina. I love the country life. I love to shop, especially for COACH purses and brand name sunglasses. Pink and Blue are my favorite colors. I'm a big movie person....I have 100's of DVDs. I have 2 purebreed Cairn Terriers (like Toto from The Wizard of Oz). I am one of the biggest NEW YORK YANKEE fans you'll ever meet...I heart Derek Jeter. He makes my heart race and my palms sweat! He is truly an amazing person, he inspires me!
In May 2009, I graduated from FAU in Boca Raton with a Bachelors of Business Administration-Marketing degree.
I love coffee and tea...probably a little too much. One of my favorite things to do is sleeping while it rains. ..I LOVE Thunderstorms.

    Hi, came across your page today! I added you as a SparkFriend also. I think we have things in common (I'm 29, our diet sounds about the same, weight is about the same). I also have a foot injury I am dealing with!!! I decided I will start lifting weights for my arms/back and do ab exercises while I can't do much cardio....I have foot surgery 6/6....Nervous about it! Anyway, keep up your hard work...you know from experience that it pays off :) Have a great day!
