Is 4 better than 3?

This is my fourth attempt to lose weight. I've been on Sparkpeople for a while, drifting on and off... probably too much time off. I still have 20+ pounds to get off to get to where I need to be for my BMI etc. I am right on the line for healthy BMI, sitting at 26.. so just losing 10 pounds would get me to the very top of healthy range. To be just about in the middle of the Healthy range, I need to drop a total or 25+ pounds.

To add to my motivation I have now entered the "Pre-Hypertension" range on my blood pressure. Three things that will help me bring that back down are:
1. Exercise
2. Losing some extra weight
3. Continuing to eat right

So this time around I have a major reason to suceed.

So as I have said three times before,

Here we go!

My Goals:
To lose weight and manage to get back in shape while fending off high blood pressure without any medication.

My Program:
Program? What Program? continue to eat right, DO NOT EAT AFTER DINNER, get my lazy butt exercising.
I am going to try to get a 30-45 minute walk in each morning and evening if possible. However, get at lease one of the walks in each day.

Personal Information:
I am a 47 year old father of two. Son who is 16 and daughter who is 12. Unfortunately my wife and I separated this year after 20 years, and that has added to my stress and mood. I believe exercising more will help with both of those as well.

You seem to be the only one on this site that has heard of Wilber buds - want to use your numbers but not sure how many buds in a serving. My DH just brought me an enormous bag back from Hershey PA and rather than just dive in I figured I'd try to contact you first. Mine are semi sweet by the way but my God they are the best chocolate I've ever eaten. For the sake of my Spark diet please drop me a line quickly............thanks ................Naki

Thank you for your words on encouragement on my blog. You are right on many levels. And I think I just needed a bad day to get myself back into it. I added you as a friend too and looking forward to being in touch in the future.

Keep on, keeping on.

Thanks
Adam

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!
