The Drive to 175

Three times a charm? I am hoping so!

I've been on Sparkpeople for a while, drifting on and off... probably too much time off. I still have 20+ pounds to get off to get to where I need to be for my BMI etc. I am right on the line for healthy BMI… 25.3.. so just losing 4 pounds would get me to the very top of “healthy”. To be just about in the middle of the “Healthy” range, I need to drop a total or 20+ pounds.

To be just about in the middle of the “Healthy” range, I need to drop a total or 20+ pounds.

To add to my motivation, over the last few months my lower back has started to bother me which is another sign I need to get back in shape and shed a few pounds.

But the biggest reason I need to buckle down is that I have now entered the "Pre-Hypertension" range on my blood pressure. Three things that will help me bring that back down are:
1. Exercise
2. Losing some extra weight
3. Continuing to eat right

So this time around I have more reasons to succeed.

So as I have said twice before……

Here we go!

You seem to be the only one on this site that has heard of Wilber buds - want to use your numbers but not sure how many buds in a serving. My DH just brought me an enormous bag back from Hershey PA and rather than just dive in I figured I'd try to contact you first. Mine are semi sweet by the way but my God they are the best chocolate I've ever eaten. For the sake of my Spark diet please drop me a line quickly............thanks ................Naki

Thanks for the "mall walking shoes" (and the add). Perhaps i'll have to add the old man cane later!

Thank you for your words on encouragement on my blog. You are right on many levels. And I think I just needed a bad day to get myself back into it. I added you as a friend too and looking forward to being in touch in the future.

Keep on, keeping on.

Thanks
Adam

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!
