emoticon I saw on the messageboard were you had a really bad abcess & were needing to have it drained. My daughter went through that a few weeks ago so I can imagine the pain you are dealing with. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon I'll be praying for you, did they give you anything to help with the pain? Hope you are feeling better soon & have a speedier recovery than my daughter did, her's hurt for 1+ week beyond the root canal. emoticon

Thanks for the visit. Actually I'm 20 miles west of Wilmington. Although I spend most of my time in Wilmington as that is where I work. My oldest daughter is a home health nurse, she is studying to be an RN. Of course she has her schooling on til the Spring as she is expecting her 2nd child in Dec which is when the exams would be for this semester.

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Hubby & I took Friday off, will be driving to Florence, SC to visit my parents. Dad is starting to have more health problems as he's nearing 70 in 2 years --he's diabetic, mom has RA, Fibromyalgia, IBS & Lupus along with migraines --she could write a book!! I will be going with a group of ladies from our church Friday night to supper --- ladies night out! Then Saturday, my daughter (whom I am so blessed to have her back home safely, she followed the wrong path earlier in the year & made a # of wrong decisions that could have been fatal ---she has turned her life around, accepted Christ ---totally different child now) --she & I are going to do some stuff in Wilmington together -- her idea, YIPEEE!!!

Take care, hope you have a great week, what's left of it.

Hello There!!!!!!!
I am in Canada. Where all healthcare is free. Well I'm not sure "free" is the word as we do pay for it somehow through taxes but it definitely makes a gigantic difference when I can go to the doctors or get any test I want done and I don't have to worry about remortgaging the house to do it! And with a son who has an immune defficiency, it has been a God send. He got an ear infection once while in US and we paid $100 USD to get a prescription for antibiotics. Doctor didn't even look in his ear. Asked me what the issue was, I told him ear infection and he asked what drug I wanted. I asked him if he didn't want to make sure, he said ok, looked and said yep it is and gave me a prescription. SCARY!!! Then again last year he got strep throat, off to dr's in the evening and that was a $300 USD bill. Thankfully my insurance at work covers trips abroad or I would never vacation in the US. Yeah people complain about it, things are slow blah blah blah, but I tell you, I've never had any issues and it certainly gives me peace of mind knowing I won't end up dying of something because I can't afford going to the doctors.

Btw, glad to hear you are feeling better!!!
