Determined

I just want to feel better. My favorite activity is cycling, and the fitter I am, the faster I'll go! I want to be able to do long rides and not feel completely wiped out at the end. If I drop weight, that's less to carry up the hill on my bike. I already have a lightweight bike...

Ah, the Trek Madone is such a beautiful bike! If that's what you own, great choice! And cycling is such a great sport, and calorie burner.

The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling.
~Nursery rhyme quoted by Wayne Fields, What the River Knows, 1990

Thank you for suggesting resources for me on the Multisport team! :) I've seen the website for the BATC, but I'll be sure to check out the Mid Atlantic club too.

My husband just bought a set of "rollers", which is basically like a little treadmill for your bike. Instead of locking the bike into place, you actually have to balance on these cylinders. I haven't tried it yet...my husband loves them. I'll have to give them a try!

I look forward to getting to know you on the team!

Yes, definately growing a baby is exhausting work...that is why I have my mother coming to help me clean my house this weekend while my hubby works, so he doesn't have to do it all, all the time...right now he does most of the work around the house, plus he is working, and his job has gotten extremely stressful...so trying to help out, but I know I can't do it alone, so enlisting mom was the next option.

Glad your freezer cleaning was productive anyway...always good to get some of those jobs done that always end up on the back burner. I wish I had the energy to do anything when I get home. Just so tired these days.
