Healthier Me

Welcome to my SparkPage. By using the SparkPeople resources, I hope to discover a healthier me. I have been a diabetic for ten years. My goal is to lose enough weight to hopefully eliminate oral medication.

Summer 5% Challenge Goals
1) I will exercise daily for 45 minutes for the 56 days of the challenge.
2) I will follow my 1800 calorie diet watching the intake of carbs, fats and sugars.
3) On my team page, I will record my daily exercise minutes and Living ...

4) Weigh-in weekly and record on Saturdays
5) I will check teammates progress daily and leave comments on individual pages.
6) I will lose the 5%+.

I enjoy most sports.
My daugther, son-in-law, wife and I are on a mission to see all the major league baseball stadiums.

How is the team working for you this time around? Do you think you will come close or even MAKE the 5%??? I went into maintenance cos I had to WRAP my BRAIN around the NOT losing,, and RELAX,, to NOT be SOOOOO UPSET about the weigh in. :) So now I am FINALLY after not doing for over 6 months,, AM LoSING !!

I MAY come oFF the maint list,, it'd help the team, but, FIRST I HAVE TO make SURAH I can do so,, wihout MESSING MYSELF OFF !
