Running has saved my life!
I am so young, and I have so much of my life to live, and I want to take advantage of it! I am in the best shape of my life, and I have more energy than I ever thought I could!! I started running five years ago to get in shape, and I have not stopped since. The energy and joy I get from running, racing, and feeling confident and beautiful is worth more than all the pizza fries in the world. When I took up running five years ago, I had a weight goal in mind, as well as a race goal. I wanted to drop 30 pounds and run a half marathon. Using running to accomplish goals I set for myself, as well as surpassing those goals (I have lost over 60 pounds and have over 30 races under my belt) has made me believe that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. I am unstoppable!! PhD here I come!!!!

My Goals:
I would like to lose about 5-10 more pounds, tone my body alittle more (by way of a six-pack), and become as active as I can be! I want to try new things. In the past year, I have been white water rafting, skiing, kayaking, hiking, biking, and have competed in a dualthon. Next on the list is to doa long distance road race, a triatholon, and white water kyaking in the New Hampshire White Mountains!
My Program:
I am pretending to be taking a break from racing, but I am doiug what I can to keep my fitness level race ready. I run 5-8 miles 5 days a week. I take a fitness class once a week, and yoga once a week. I also stretch every day that I work out, strength train once a week, and do ab work 5 times a week.
Personal Information:
My name is Jessica, I am a 26 yr old adolescent trauma therapist and a part-time patient relations representative at a major hospital. I just graduated with my masters! I love to act, sing, dance, run, and travel. I perform in local professional theatres in my spare time. I am currently deciding whether I want to spend the money to get a good road bike so that I can try a triathalon.
