    Welcome to SP!

    Per your question on the "Vegetarian Holiday meal ideas", the only "secrets" are to exercise & watch what you eat. In February of this year I was a size 18/20. Right now I'm an 8/10. I've gotten to the point where I can order my clothes in size M from online stores & know they will fit when they arrive.

    Of the 82lbs I lost in 7 months, I lost 60lbs in the first 4 months. How? I watched what I ate which translates into 75-80% of what I put in my mouth was healthy. I still ate the birthday cake (it seemed like my job had birthday celebrations or a celebration for something every 2 weeks), chips (regular Lay's are my absolute favorite!), & candy, etc. Some days it was more like 70% of what I put in my mouth was junk food. I never berated myself, I would just work off the calories before the week was out.

    Ex. Calorie range 1300-1500 calories per day; 3000 cals burned per week
    Sun - 1450
    M - 1470
    T - 1920
    W - 1570
    Th - 1320
    F - 1463
    Sa - 1520

    I would not worry about Wed or Sat since on every other day (except Tues) I was under, especially Thurs. But, because I was over my calories on Tuesday by 420, I would burn 3400 calories for the week instead of 3000. I exercised so much I generally went over the calories I intended to burn for the week anyway.

    1. Change your exercise routine about every 2 weeks or as soon as you feel it becoming comfortable. It will prevent you from hitting a plateau.

    2. Drink water and a lot of it. There is a formula I can share with you that will let you know how much water you should be drinking daily. (I don't think I have enough room to type it here since I think there's a limit on how much you can type in 1 message.) Your body will let go of the water its holding onto once it becomes clear to it that it will get water steadily (decreases water weight).

    3. Significantly increase your veggie & fiber intake.

    If you do #2 & #3, you won't have any room for junk food! Well, you won't have a lot of room for junk food. :-)

    Think about it like this. You just finished exercising for 45 minutes and burned 200 calories. You are now back in your house & in front of your fridge because you need a snack. You reach past the fruit to grab the slice of apple pie you see (about 300 calories give or take & that's only if its a true 1 slice-- most slices you see should be cut in half or thirds to be a true serving). You let go of the apple pie & grab the fruit because you don't want to consume 300 calories after you just spent 45 minutes burning 200.

SP is awesome, and the wonderful thing is that there are no "tricks" to losing the weight, its all about making good changes in diet and activity and the weight just falls away!
