Matching Inside to the Outside

I'm an overweight surfer who wants to be healthy & is tired of being the fat chick in social company. The doctors say I'm healthy so I just want my outside to match my inside as I feel like I'm trapped in the wrong body.

I'm an overweight surfer who wants to be healthy & is tired of being the fat chick in social company. The doctors say I'm healthy so I just want my outside to match my inside as I feel like I'm trapped in the wrong body.

I've been battling my weight since I was young. I'm determined to not fall in the genetic trap of my Family's medical history and suffer from diseases that I can prevent. At my heaviest I was 267lb which is a lot on a 5'5" frame. I have been stuck lately but I'm not giving up. It's harder to keep the healthy fitness faith than give up and I like things to be complicated! :-)

Rules to Remember:
1) Log everything.
2) You can't outrun a bad diet. Eat consistently.
3) Some say eat in moderation. That can be an issue so I say "Eat by serving size." So I weigh everything.
4) Aim for small goals.
5) Inches lost matter, not pounds.
6) Fat has no bearing on my worth as a person. So I appear fat but I am awesome!
7) I didn't gain weight overnight so I can't lose it overnight.

My Goals:
My goals are simple:

To be a better surfer.

To be healthy & strong.

Ideally to be either a size 10 or 150lbs whatever comes first.

To not compare myself to anyone.

My Program:
I am doing a combination of cardio & strength training.
Zumba 3x a week
Couch to 5K 3x a week
Yoga 2x week
Strength training 3x/wk



Personal Information:
Pharmacy student in VA for the time being.
I have a great husband, awesome pets, and loving family.

Other Information:
If you love the water, try surfing at least once in your life. I guarantee there is no better natural high than riding a wave. Being able to harness nature's energy & use it for your own is a gift from God.
