Keeping Strong

Faith is what keeps me going.
"If God Brings You to it.. He will Bring you Through it!" So far all my oncologist appointments have been good. I will hopefully have my last cats can end of May Then see the Doc in June. If all is great I will see the surgeon & have this port taken out. As of this coming 4/3 I will have finished chemo 1 year. Happy Feet Dance. I could rationalize my behavior, but to what avail? We all joined here for the same reasons & our stories are so alike. I am ...

Your blog was challenging, which I'm thankful, for :-) it's easier to be thankful for the easy things but this really made me think of ways to turn difficult situations around

Sometimes the healthiest thing I can do for myself is to admit that I am not perfect. I am human. I make mistakes. Today I will have the courage to look the truth in the face, admit my errors and achievements, appreciate my growth. and make amends where I have done harm. I will not attempt to manage or control what is beyond my powers. I will dedicate myself to managing my own life, and only mine.

There is only one corner of the world you can be sure of improving.and that is your own self.

As I look at my fitness, nutrition and personal goals, I seek progress not perfection. I admit I am not perfect, but I am making positive changes and I rejoice in my growth as I seek to eliminate my character defects. Strength comes from facing adversity and not giving in, not surrendering, not giving up.

Dear Donna ,
We are blessed as Sisters thru Breast cancer, and we are survivors. You are very much in my daily prayers.
We are also blessed to be in recovery. I love my time spent with my women friends in recovery. It's important that we don't forget the dark path we were on, and that we never want to go down that trail again.
I think this is the first time I've seen your first name, Donna. I like having a first name to address a person by. I hope you won't mind my using it to address you.
emoticon Janis, your emoticon emoticon

emoticon Donna! Think of healthy living as a career. Make goal setting a regular part of your life. Become a permanent participant in sustaining better lifestyle choices. Focus on one goal at a time to become a healthier you. Develop an action plan for each goal and finish what you start. Each positive change will lead you to better results. You CAN and WILL turn your GOALS into the results that you are striving for!

emoticon G = Give each goal 100% of commitment from beginning to completion!
emoticon O = Open your mind to new ways of doing new things!
emoticon A = Add variety to nutrition plan, fitness activities and inner well-being goals!
emoticon L = Live life embracing healthy choices, positive changes and personal growth!
emoticon S = Strive to exceed daily with a combined mind-body-soul balance!

~ Monika ~ emoticon
