Crossing a stile on Usk Valley Walk, June 2011

My new bike--a Cruiser one-speed with coaster brakes. Old style for an oldie.

I'm a retired psychology professor. I've lost 50 pounds in the past several years. I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes 15 years ago but have tight control (HbA1C 5.7) using metformin, diet, and exercise. I either walk on a treadmill 30 minutes and ride an exercycle 30 minutes or walk outdoors 1 hour daily. I also have sleep apnea that was diagnosed 20 years ago, although I have had it most of my adult life. I use a BiPap every night. I have heart disease and had 3 stents placed in my ...

I have heart disease and had 3 stents placed in my right coronary artery in 2012. I also have occluded small coronary arteries which cause angina.

I have been married for 53 years (June 2013) and have two daughters, both happily married, and five grandchildren. Our middle grandson was killed in an auto accident five years ago. He was 19.

We are both retired and love to travel. You can tell this from my photos. We usually take one month-long international trip and one month-long trip within the US every year, along with several brief road trips around Minnesota and South Dakota and down to Texas. In the last year our travel has been limited due to my heart problems and my husband's aftereffects of several small strokes.

in my question I meant the first time, not the re-occurence. Thanks

Yes, my orthotics are huge. As a child I wore metal arches in my saddle shoes. That was the recommended practice back then for my problem. In retrospect, not a good idea, but wow I was sure a great kickball player.

I've lost track of the age of some of my spices. Some I go through quickly and some have labels from grocery stores that have been out of business for years.

The date on that baking powder was 2007. The unopened flour says 2011 which makes me wonder about the stuff loose in my flour canister.
I found some canned fruit with a "best by" date of 2010, but as DH says, in Vietnam they ate canned goods (C rations) from WWII.

A few things I don't even remember buying? Hungry Jack potato flakes? They must have been free with some other purchase.
