March 2014.
With all my gain (lost weight) you would think the scale would co-operate and stay at my goal. Apparently my scale has no regard for past accomplishments.

Back to the grind stone. I have 40 . . . No . . not anymore!
Now I have 18 pounds to loose. (June 2014)

Although I don't see MUCH difference being GF, it helps to cut out some unnecessary carbs that I would otherwise be tempted with. Besides. . . my wife is gluten intolerant and HAS to be gluten free, . . . so . . . why not both of us, . . . right?

My Goals:
My short term goal is to reach 199 pounds by the June 2014.

My long term goal is to reach 185 pounds.



My Program:
Eat less, exercise more

I walk aerobically, integrating hills into my route to get the heart pumping and the lungs working overtime. My regular walk is an 8 km (5 mile) route with a 150 meter (500 feet) elevation gain. I average between 5.6 - 6.7 km/hour

I will slowly integrate strength exercises like push-ups, the dreaded PLANK, some core and free weight exercises .

My main emphasis will be aerobic walking for weight loss.

Personal Information:
Living in 'Sea To Sky' country, Squamish is an hour from the city of Vancouver BC and 45 minutes from the ski resort of Whistler. If I get tired of walking on the street, there are literally thousands of trails to explore in the forest.

Squamish is at the edge of the ocean, at the end of a fjord like valley, nestled between 5,000 - 6,000 foot glacial capped mountains.

I would set a goal of wonderland, but I have to get through the twoderlands first. I started at 387 and am down to 310 and looking very forward to getting out of the three hundreds. This will be the step that will prove to me I can do it. I have been in the 300's for over 20 years and look very forward to leaving it behind. Thanks for the comments on my blog though, I really appreciate it and proves to me that I am not alone in this journey!
