Spinning is my favorite cardio workout! - go early mornings before work to start the day off right.
This summer i have been doing Hydro-Fitness Power Training at the City Pool, which is outdoors. Our Teacher- a certified trainer gives it this description:
"An athletic approach to water fitness training with sports-specific drills, intense cardiovascular work, intervals, balance/core training, martial arts, and plyometrics. A great way to improve your cardiovascular conditioning and muscular strength and endurance with minimal stress on your joints. Loud, rocking music is a part of the workout. Also, recommended as a great form of cross training. Intensity: moderate to hard." - - -
... i do 2 -50min classes back-to back on Wednesdays and Friday after work. When you are done, you know you have worked hard! also a fun way to cross-train with my regular spin routine. This all ends on August 8 for this summer season. Then - back to spinning, and the occasional zumba class.
Light a fire under myself and really commit to exercising 5 to 6 hours per week.
on the average- 4x's per week in Spin class- Love it! 3x per week-Aqua classes ...water aerobics.- the instructor pushes us to do more....Also -Have some DVD's for Mat Pilates, which I tried when i was on vacation & loved it... Pilates really helps with core and posture - need to start adding this in to the routine.
I am 49, 6' tall, and now 174# - a Geoscience Technician, - Some days are Vegan; others still eating meat-fish every few days, or so. love anchovies and sardines, and herring, as well as salmon!
Hypothyroidism & Menopause: a new OBGyn that specializes in Bioidentical HR Therapy put me on them on the Jan 18, 2012. This has made a huge difference in my energy, attitude, and moods- took about 2 months to kick-in.

Eating the Nutritarian way, as Recommended by Dr. Fuhrman. I only feel that the day has started out right if Breakfast is a Green smoothie! The greener...the better!
Dr. Fuhrman's Highly Cruciferous Diet - It is the only thing that has worked for me, and I have tried ALL the others.
"Eating ONE big Salad Every Day is the Key." once i got this down I felt better....at first the Salads were really big.....now they are still big...just eat a little less now...
Dr. Fuhrman’s quote: "THE SALAD IS THE MAIN COURSE." Made a sign and stuck it to the Frig just like he suggested, and it really helped!
The best is a green smoothie for breakfast with baby spinach, frozen blueberries, pomegranate Juice, and fresh orange & flax seed. Kale & Collards, and Mustard Greens work great in green spoothies too! Adding other frozen fruit like peaches or mango, and ½ avocado to change the flavor profile. The Vidalia Chop Wizard is a great time saver for dicing

Because of the amount of Cardio each week, i have only been doing 1 or 2x's per week on the weight training. Really, NOW - need to beef this up! to 3 to 4.
Walking in the park or on the beach are favorites, when it is cooler weather-.a great attitude adjustment when we can do it.
Happy 1st time cat owner...before this I always had dogs. so much FUN!
