I've always had a weight problem from childhood - brought up by grandparents who had been through 2 wars and a depression, and happily cleared my plate every meal. Reached my goal with Weight Watchers 20 years ago, but couldn't keep to it, and have been gradually creeping upwards ever since. Finally found SparkPeople last year, and all went well until ...

But now I'm starting out again, back with all my friends, and see - I'm starting from a better position than I was in last year.

As I look out my window I am seeing over 2 feet of snow. It is a bit overwhelming.
I see you were not overwhelmed this week because you are in the top five for team fitness minutes.
Keep up the strong start to 2016!!!!!

WOOHOO!!! You are in the top five for team fitness minutes this week! You continue to rock it!!!! You are an inspiration!
SOme advise I saw this week

Don't compare yourself with someone else's version of happy or thin. Accepting yourself burns the most calories.
Caroline Rhea

This really rang true for me . WHen I am not happy with myself, I do not burn enough calories and I take in too many. So learn to love yourself more.

well we made it past Thanksgiving (USA). Although we may not have made perfect choices, you are still in the top five for team fitness minutes this week!!!
When the negative thoughts come - and they will; they come to all of us - it's not enough to just not dwell on it... You've got to replace it with a positive thought.
