This world is not my home, I'm just passing through.

I'm a Biblical Christian, I came to know Christ as my Savior about 40 years ago. I'm married, have two grown children, two grandchildren and one step-grandchild. I'm a retired RN and glad to be retired.
I weighed 333 lbs 20 years ago, I've taken off 120 lbs over a lot of years, but stagnated at that point. I need to lose at least 50 more for the sake of my health and comfort. If I allow the Lord to be in charge of my eating habits I know I'll lose that, He wants us to treat our bodies ...

I'm back to logging in my food as of Sept., 2014 and it's going well, the Lord is good...I'm so very weak, but with His strength I can get more weight off. I'm sort of aiming at 175 (that's so I'll weigh less than my husband, I've always weighed more than him, he's never had a weight problem).

Control binge eating

My Program:

Logging in my food, trying to eat more protein without too many calories..

Daily calorie limit 1700
Daily sodium limit 1500

Personal Information:
I've lived in Mass. since I got married, that was 47 years ago. I was born in Pa.

I was 333lbs at my top weight, went down to 220 over a period of years, using the Weight Watchers format, for the most part, and when I retired I started to workout at the Y and do water aerobics. After some medical issues I went back up to 240. I got back on track and got down to 198 at one point, briefly. It's been up and down ever since. I tend to hover around 215-218. . I thank the Lord for giving me yet another chance at healthy living!
Sept. 2014 weight up to 226, so I'm finally back to keeping track of my cals.

Other Information:
I'm a Christian, active in the local Baptist church, sing in the choir.

I'm a retired nurse.

I'm mother of two adult children, and have two grandchildren and one step grandchild.

My 94 year old mother moved in with us 5 years ago so my routine has got changed considerably and my time at the Y is now non-existant.
2 months ago my mom went in to a nursing home after a brief hospital stay, during which she lost strength and can no longer do much for herself, so I can no longer care for her. This has been very difficult for both of us, neither of us ever wanted this.

Thank you so much for the goodie and the sweet word from the Lord. I appreciate them both. Continue strong in this journey, as I'm just beginning today.....I plan with God's help to be a different person inside, and out, by 2014. God bless you!

Didn't see until I went back that you had commented as well emoticon Thank you for sharing the recipe with me. I'm always trying to be more conscience of what amount of sodium I intake....I'm not always successful and should be more careful than I am. This will change though....one way or the other! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I made you a friend...hope you don't mind. I need all the wonderful encouragement I can get emoticon

Thanks for your visit to my sparkpage, I'm glad you have fond memories of the UK, I've never been to the states, but I will some day. Best of luck on your journey. I find I have to catch my breath for a while, before carrying on again. I don't really have a sweet tooth, luckily, as a dental nurse that would have been a BAD thing to have. My passions are cheese and bacon. I don't really limit anything, but try to only have high calorie foods like these a couple of times a week, then make up for it on the other days.

You might try one of the Leslie Sansone's DVD...I do her "Four Fast Miles" in my den and it really helps...It takes 50 minutes and is aerobic enough to to make you sweat like a dog! All of her "Walk off the pounds" DVD's are great. With the Texas heat going for a walk outdoors is just too brutal most days.
