I started with Weight Watchers a couple of months ago and so far I am happy with my progress. Getting on that scale in front of others keeps me accountable to myself and right now I need that incentive.

I know I must track food to lose weight. For me some kind of exercise has to happen every day or I just don't feel right! That is a long way from a sedentary lifestyle! On my "rest days" I often put on an old movie (I love them!) and will do Leslie Sansome type walking but on a slower basis. I find myself standing up during TV shows and just moving around for a few minutes.

I am ready for this challenge and determined to meet my goals!

I will continue to walk everyday at least 5 days a week. I will increase riding the stationary bike from 40 to 60 minutes and also increase the intensity. I will weigh/measure all food including condiments.

Hi -

My name is Donna. My DH of 49 years and I live in central Florida. We have recently moved to an active 55+ community and a much smaller house (still getting used to that!). We hope to have more travel time with less to care for around the house. Everything outside is taken care of for us - yea! No more Florida yard work.

I love to read, play computer games, garden and walk. I spend most Saturday mornings at the local yard sales and am forever searching for that special treasure.

My DH and I like to travel - especially cruises. We like unpacking once and sleeping in the same bed every night. And someone else takes care of everything else. But for 2014 we plan to see the USA. We've done quite a bit but have places we want to re-visit and take the grand with us this time.

We are blessed with two grown children (one son and one daughter) and a sweet teen-age granddaughter. We love spending time together and try to take the grand everywhere we go. She still li

I love to read, do all kinds of puzzles, spending time with our teenage DGD but most of all we like to travel. We find cruises the easiest. Unpack once and someone else takes care of everything for us!

Hi, Donna. I'm so impressed that you can walk 45-60 minutes at a time. I used to do about that. After I started having back problems, I got away from it and now have trouble walking more than a block or two. We're going to Texas for the winter, and since we'll be staying in a park that is completely level, I'm planning on starting a walking routine and hopefully will get back into the swing of that again. I find it kind of boring, though, and as a result that also becomes a chore. I'm afraid I was born to couch potato status. Isn't that awful? Maybe I also need to build some heavy duty housecleaning into my daily routine...that would help, too...on a couple of levels!! LOL!

    It’s not about perfect.
    It’s about effort.
And when you bring that effort every single day,
    That’s where transformation happens.
    That’s how change occurs.

Really glad you had such a good trip. Yellowstone and the other more western parks are a trip in themselves. We went last year and just loved spending time. Would go back in a heartbeat!
