Ready for a run. In March I was unable to run one minute . Aug (thinnest) was able to run 7 miles.





My reward for losing weight was diving lessons and a dive trip ... what a blast!





June 2006 ... the dolphins pull me across the water ... they were strong!

My Goals:
Okay ... My 2005 goal was to lose 50 pounds. I didn't quite make it. At one point I had lost 40 pounds and slipped up and regained much of what I lost. My goal for 2006 is to loose weight (again) and not backslide (again).

My Program:
* My weight losses have occured when I planned and tracked my food ... so I'm committed to tracking it everyday. I do my best to in the lower half of the calorie range.
* Giving up my daily 5 to 6 full-calorie cokes and switching to water was one of the changes I made and have been able to stick with.
* I have added exercise back into my life. I try to run at least three times a week, do weights at least twice. I also took up scuba diving which was something I always wanted to do.

Personal Information:
I live in Frisco, Texas. Work full-time and I am the single mother of two boys (15 & 11).

Hi Donna, thank you for sharing your journal. I've been working on changing to healthy habits for 1 and 1/2 years and I've been struggling with my motivation. I turned to the sparkbook and 28 day challenge and found your journal story. I can relate to it and appreciate the need to make these lifelong changes and dig deep to rekinde better choices daily/hourly...
Thank you and keep up the good work. It's not all or nothing, it's just ongoing and making good choices all day long.

You have some great "Rewards" choices. I also enjoy diving. I plan on going in a couple of weeks and am hoping to lose the few pounds I have gained over the summer. Thanks for sharing! Laura
