Hello, I have always been the fat kid and adult. I have always been very fortunate as an adult to not yo-yo diet. I never went up or down with my weight. All the clothes in my closet are fat clothes. I have no smaller sizes to compare them to. Like I said I have always been fat. I have been this size for the past 20 years. The only time my weight was a real problem was when I was in Maui this summer and wanted to take a Helicopter ride. Each passenger weight couldnt be over 250. I was so boderline for 20 years going just over and just under 250 I didnt want to risk embarassment of getting there and not being able to go on flight so I didnt go.

Other than that defining moment I have never hated my size and I was very good at the fat jokes, accepting them and dishing them on myself.

My Goals:
My main goal is to have more energy. I have signed up to coach a boys softball team at school and am looking to get into umpiring girls fast pitch softball.

My Program:
I started out very slow. Currently I am walking 3 or 4 hours a week. I just bought a heart rate monitor to track my progress. When the weather isnt nice I use the elliptical in my home.
My current longer term goal is to get out of the 200 range, my short term goal is to be out of the 230. Once I am under 200 I will re-evaluate my goal and set a new one. I just couldnt face putting a goal of 100 lbs and feeling like a failure if I didnt reach that goal. Progress is my main goal.

Other Information:
I am afraid of failure. That is why I never tried to lose weight. Even now I dont like to say I am trying to lose weight for fear of being a failure.

Thank you to my spark friends. I need all the spark I can get. I am just now starting to believe that maybe just maybe I can actually do this. It will be the first time in my life I am not the fat kid :)
