I have stopped eating almost all processed sugar. I have psorisis and I read somewhere that sugar makes it worse. I check everything I eat for sugar and if it is 2 grams of sugar I do not eat it.

I think it has a lot to do with the cold weather but I don't know. My husband said my hands and feed still look better than they did five months ago. He took pictures of them when we started and there really is a difference. I take a picture the first of each month. I am really curious to see what a year or two will do for my psorisis. I have also gone from a 4x to 1x. So that is a bonus. I find that I know when I am full or content when I eat since I have stopped eating processed sugar. I eat lots of fruit, dates, dried figs so I still have the sweet taste that I love so much but not the calories. I gave up any kind of drinks a couple of years ago sweet or non-sweet. I only eat natural foods, no processed, or fast foods. Most of my vegetables and meat are organic. I really feel wonderful. I have much more energy and am exercising on the treadmill, bike, elliptical and weights.
I have dieted most of my life and have lost 100's of pounds but I always put it back on. I was on a diet and I always looked forward to getting off the diet and eating the foods I liked. Nw I am eating the foods I like. There is nothing to change. I will just keep on eating the foods I am eating maybe add a little to maintain when I reach a size 10. I do not weigh. The scales will not control me this time around. My clothes will let me know as I drop sizes. If I am eating healthy and getting a good variety of fruits and vegetables my body will take care of itself and loss the excess weight as it sees fit. I will not get depressed because I did not lose what I thought I should have. I will not starve myself to see a pound gone and be so nervous and hateful no one wants to be around me. I am eating enough food to run my body. I eat from 1300 to 1500 calories a day.
I will exercise to keep my body fit. I will enjoy my life everday that I have on this earth.
