I put on a lot of weight (60 lbs) in less than a year about 8 years back- a combination of medical problems, stress, and a medication reaction. I've been struggling to get it off ever since, and have lost about half, but it went very slowly, and then got stuck altogether. I am determined to lose the rest of this weight.

So now with thyroid replacement I am back on track, my energy is improving, and back to trying to get to a healthy weight & just plain healthy. I WILL get there & stay there.

My Goals:
Reach 140 and tone up/ improve flexibility by April 1 2012.

I finished a 59 day juice fast-- now I want to complete 2 more 30 day fasts with a 2 week break in between.

Get to the gym at least 3 days a week. More if possible.

Run a 5K late April.

Personal Information:
Divorced mother of 3, 1 teenage daughter left at home.

City-dweller who loves the urban life (even though I rarely have time for much).

When I was really hungry I would "cheat". I would boil sweet potatoes and carrots, or white potatoes with broccoli and cauliflower, not too much water, and then add the whole mixture, water and all, hot to my juice. The mix was about 50/50 hot and juice blend. It felt like food and the heat warmed over the hungries and did not effect my weight loss.

It might help you get past this difficult time.
