And back in the game! On some new pain management medicine, and doing sooo much better. Back to the gym, and back to living life :)

I've had ups, I've had downs.... trying to deal with a multitude of health issues now. Need to slowly work back into appropriate exercise. Focusing on real foods and taking care of ME.


Update 7/27/09
So had the scope surgery to find out that nothing is wrong. ACL is in place and looks prestine. Still working my way through physical therapy. The biggest issue now is lack of strength in my quads. The residual pain is from a lack of proper muscle support in my quads. Really need to focus on the leg exercises, and slowly work back to normal life!


04/09 Change of plans...

My soccer career was wonderful, but my body is telling me I need to retire! Since my initial knee injury, I put back on some of the weight I lost, and since February of this year, I have been unable to workout the way I want to.

I am doing my best to be patient, and give my body the rest it needs; however that can be very frustrating some days.

I know once I am healed again, I will be able to walk without pain again, and will lose the weight again... I am not giving up on myself! I must continue to live by my motto 'One day at a time'....

LOST A TOTAL OF 95 POUNDS WITH SPARK PEOPLE!!!!

I now play soccer at least 4 times per week. Lovin' the rush I get from exercise...

Just sick and tired of being sick and tired. I have become a spectator at life rather than an active memeber. My biggest goal is to lose enough to be able to play soccer with my daughter!!

Adopt a healthy lifestyle rather than diet. Exercise everyday, even if all I have is 15 minutes to spare. Inspire my husband and daughter to follow my lead!


My Program:
Giving up pop, filling my life with good food choices, making time for exercise every day!!! I feel soo much better taking a 30 minute walk instead of growing roots into the couch for 30 minutes...

No soda pop since April 2006!!!!

    Thanks for checking out my page. Slowly trying to get back into a healthier lifestyle. I understand your pain issues, have a lot of my own. I have had several surgeries and still having pain management issues, so that impedes my exercise efforts, but I am going to make more of an effort this year. Kind of mad at myself. Even though I have retained a lot of my healthy habits in terms of eating the lack of movement has really taken a toll and I have gained back about 25 of the pounds that I lost, so I would really like to relose them yet again. Have lost touch with most of my old spark friends, the site has gotten so LARGE ... can hardly find my way around these days. Guess I need to take a tutorial on all of the new things even though I am truly and old timer. I was here before the site was free ... LOL ... I paid to join and then got it free because I helped others and was on the team leaders ... really am older than dirt ... any way just wanted to congratulate another old timer and say keep on keeping on ... emoticon
