Healthcare Worker Getting Healthy

I've been an STNA for 12 years. I'm back to getting healthy after having prolonged problems with my back and back surgery. I was doing really well and had to put everything on hold due to pain. Now, I'm back in the saddle and by God's grace, doing better than ever. It's a wonderful blessing to feel better at last and I want to stay that way.

I'm working on a healthy lifestyle and getting to the weight that my doctor recommends for this 4'7" , 52 year old grandma.

My Goals:
Right now, my goal is to reach the healthy weight that my cardiologist recommends, get healthy again and stay that way.

My Program:
Since I work 12 hour night shifts, my schedule pretty much dictates my workout days. I do cardio at least 4 days a week (60 minutes each day) and strength training with my free weights at least 2-3 days a week. I am following a healthy heart eating plan and lifestyle.

Personal Information:
My husband and I are both following Spark People and eating better and healthier.

The best and most important thing I can quote is :

Oh wow....really. I don't usually check my fitness minutes. Thanks so much. Needless to say, my tv time has been waaay cut down. I'm going to say that is a good thing for now. My poor little dogs are "getting fit" too (do they really have a choice, lol). emoticon emoticon
