Changing My Life

Hello everyone, I am Jaymie and a new member to sparkpeople. I am a single mother of 2 and aiming to loose 50 lbs. and keep it off. I want to be healthy and in control of my eating habits. My main goal for getting in shape is that I can not pass my physical fitness test for the army or the weight standards.

Welcome to the US Military Service Members and family SP Team and to Spark People. You will find a lot of support here and we'll be at your side, not ahead or behind you, but with you as you go down this journey. Thanks for your service to our country.

Thanks for the concern about my husband. We wont know for a few days if he is going or not. It just sucks because he has already been once. Anyways I wanted to say thank you! Good luck on the fitness tests for the army. When do you have to take it?

You commented on my "woo hoo" thread, and I just wanted to drop by and encourage you. You asked for advice, I don't know if I have much except just do it. I guess I think the spark plan is really effective. Measure your food; count your calories; drink water; eat a balanced diet; work out. It's really just common sense, but that doesn't make it easy. It also helps to remember that each day is a clean slate. Each MOMENT is a clean slate. Just because I messed up earlier today, or earlier this week, doesn't mean I have to ruin this moment. I can make a great choice now even if I didn't yesterday.

Good luck in your weight loss journey! You can do it!
