Struggle for Peace
I joined SparkPeople a while back. But, like most people, life has been too "busy" to take "advantage" of this resource. Which means, I have failed. Oh how I have failed. Failed mulitiple times. Sure, I always have a good "reason", three kids, stressful job that impacts the lives of hundreds of people each week, work 14 hour days, meeting at 7 am here, meeting at 6 pm there, always a "reason"...... . Although these may be reasonable at times, the end result is failure. At some ...
I joined SparkPeople a while back. But, like most people, life has been too "busy" to take "advantage" of this resource. Which means, I have failed. Oh how I have failed. Failed mulitiple times. Sure, I always have a good "reason", three kids, stressful job that impacts the lives of hundreds of people each week, work 14 hour days, meeting at 7 am here, meeting at 6 pm there, always a "reason"...... . Although these may be reasonable at times, the end result is failure. At some point one must be honest with oneself. How important are these goals and are they a priority. At some point we must realize that our life is solely in our hands and the choices we make define who we are and what we accomplish. Success reflects multiple minute choices strung together. The battle is fought a thousand times every day. It is these small battles that matter. These small choices that carry the weight of a life time. These choices that only exist in this moment. Only this moment. It matters not how many wrong choices we have made before. What matters is the choice made at this moment. Only this moment.
