Doc's Place....Beginning Anew

It's been a while, but I am back and working on me! I've been through a lot since I was here last, well over a year ago. I am near the end of my divorce, found another love and new muse and had my very first book published by Siren Bookstrand. It was released September 13, 2011 and I could not be happier!

I am currently working on the next books in the series and my poetry and looking forward to retiring from veterinary medicine to devote myself to writing full time. I should ...

I am near the end of my divorce, found another love and new muse and had my very first book published by Siren Bookstrand. It was released September 13, 2011 and I could not be happier!

I am currently working on the next books in the series and my poetry and looking forward to retiring from veterinary medicine to devote myself to writing full time. I should be able to achieve this goal over the next two years with the help of my new love. He is supportive in everything I do. I'm still trying to get used to that and raising two new kittens has been a handful to say the least.

Now both of us are working out and eating better and looking forward to happier, healthier lives together. I've got to say I have never felt more secure and content than now. It's been a rocky two years getting to this point, but it's all been worth it!

My Goals:
1. Stick with the basics! Water water water, 5 fruit/veggies per day in any combination, log my food either on SP or in my paper notebook.

2. Exercise at least 30 minutes per day any and all varieties. Twice weekly will be an additional 30 minutes of strength training/bootcamp type of workouts

3. Short term weight loss goal for trip to Las Vegas February 13th: 5 pounds.

4. Medium range goal: 25 pounds down by my anniversary June 19th.

5. Long range goal: be 140 pounds by my birthday December 16th.

6. continue to work on me and my mental well-being so that I can be a better wife, daughter, sister, friend and veterinarian.

My Program:
I love to do the Walk Away the Pounds workouts. By mixing and matching those, along with my new found passion, yoga and other strength training plans, I have developed a fitness plan that I enjoy doing. My food plan is developed daily by me. I have done so many different diet plans, that I know what I can and cannot eat during the day. My biggest problem is to make sure that I stick in my calorie range. That is my goal each day...to hit my calories in the middle. So far I hit the lower end most often, but I am getting there!
