Starting New Today (again!).

Hi, I'm Angie. I'm 33 and frustrated (and have been for about 16 or so years) at being overweight. I'm an Occupational Therapist. I just left a job after 3.5 years that was mostly a desk job, since I worked in a Behavior Health world with soldiers with PTSD and mild TBI. I am now looking for a job, but it's extremely likely that I will be much more on my feet and doing actual physical work that most OT's do. I'm excited about that. Hi, I'm Angie. I'm 33 and frustrated (and have been for about 16 or so years) at being overweight. I'm an Occupational Therapist. I just left a job after 3.5 years that was mostly a desk job, since I worked in a Behavior Health world with soldiers with PTSD and mild TBI. I am now looking for a job, but it's extremely likely that I will be much more on my feet and doing actual physical work that most OT's do. I'm excited about that. But, for the first time in my life, I'm worried that because of how out of shape I am, I might actually run the risk of injuring my back (we do a lot of lifting) or something like that. Even though I've always been heavy, I used to at least work out regularly and stay in some sort of shape.

I don't like how much my weight (only one (heavy) part of who I am) affects so much of my life. I don't like how much I think about it, and how much I loathe it. I don't like that my self-identity has changed and suffered because of my weight.

Today, I am starting the change to become the person that I really am, both inside and out!

My Goals:
~ Lose over 100 lbs
~ Run at least a 5k in every state
~ Be able to wear a backless dress... and look HOT!
~ Be happy, rather than scared, to fly (because I know I will fit in the plane seat without bothering my neighbor)

My Program:
Right now, I am trying to:
1) start eating healthier - Though I love fruits and veggies, I realize I almost never eat them out of laziness.
2) Smaller portions!
3) Track my food intake.
4) Drink more water.

5) Go to the gym 3x/week.

Personal Information:
Originally from Nebraska, then moved to NY for several years and then traveled for my job to several states. Then was was in Germany for 3.5 years, and am now just getting back to the States!
