I love my body! I just want to have less of it to love! It may not be where I want it to be, but it is a wonderful work in progress. When I look in the mirror, I see the SUM total of who I am, not what I look like. I wonder why anyone would rebuff the pleasure of my company because by doing so they would miss out on getting to know a wonderful person!

I was raised in the 50ís in Washington, DC. My northern home was steeped in the southern traditions that diffused the arrogance that paints most northerners in a brash hue.

In my middle adulthood, I moved to a southern city where winters have a liberal sprinkling of 70 degree days. That warmed my heart and rekindled my love of most things outdoors including the beach. Something about the solitude and the sound of the surf reawakened other areas of my life.

I love trying new recipes, and again the weather allows me to fire up the grill and keep my culinary offerings healthy, as well as good. I love music and if asked to claim a favorite, it would be jazz. I love to dabble in art. I used to paint, but my heart is in writing short stories.

My love for reading was a natural bridge to my passion for writing. I love to dress thoughts and ideas with words that bring them alive and make them real. I have been writing stories, well since I learned to form my first sentence.
