Mindful living

I've been retired for almost 4 years and am using this time to develop a new life style in the areas of nutrition and exercise.

I love to travel. I lived in the Philippines for 2 years and Spain for 2 years, and have traveled through most of the US and much of Europe. I've been very lucky that I have been able to do what I love. I'm going to have to substitute teach more often to earn enough to do more traveling. Hmmmm, sounds like work to me!!! lol

Long term I need to lose 100 lbs., but I'm focusing on the short term first! 2015 is the year that I succeed in getting where I want to be!!!!!

I am a happy retired lady who is still finding things to do and focus on in this new stage of my life.

I am divorced, but friends with ex and his family, and have 5 wonderful grandchildren .

Love to laugh, travel, sew, quilt, knit, read, and listen to and play music.

PS By the way I will be 70 in May and I also weighed in at 241 and have 12 pounds to goal for this 5% challenge. We are going to do this!

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog. While it has been sad to watch my friend's downward spiral, it has been an eye opener for myself and some other fellow Sparkers.
