Mindful living

I've been retired for three and a half years and am using this time to develop a new life style in the areas of nutrition and exercise.

I love to travel. I lived in the Philippines for 2 years and Spain for 2 years, and have traveled through most of the US and much of Europe. I've been very lucky that I have been able to do what I love. I'm going to have to substitute teach more often to earn enough to do more traveling. Hmmmm, sounds like work to me!!! lol

Long term I need to lose 100 lbs., but I'm focusing on the short term first! 2014 is the year that I succeed in getting where I want to be!!!!!

Current Status:
DNRAE1 Home again after TWO months visiting DDs and friends across the country. Put on more than 6000 miles in those 2 months and actually lost 4-5 lbs! Amazing! Wasn't able to Spark a lot tho!

So good to hear from you but so sorry to hear about your frustrations at work. I don't know if I told you but both our children were teachers. My DS left his job in June - he had an ESE class for 5 years and was so burnt out. He had the biggest most challenging students as some of the other teachers just could not physically cope with them. My DD works with students at risk of not graduating and she is making remarkable strides at bringing them up to level and getting them to continue their education. She also teaches a class or two at the local state college. She and our DGD are at the same school now so that makes both of them happy.

I hope your job gets a little easier but at least the weekend is coming. I hope you get to do something fun.
