Mindful living

I've been retired for three and a half years and am using this time to develop a new life style in the areas of nutrition and exercise.

I love to travel. I lived in the Philippines for 2 years and Spain for 2 years, and have traveled through most of the US and much of Europe. I've been very lucky that I have been able to do what I love. I'm going to have to substitute teach more often to earn enough to do more traveling. Hmmmm, sounds like work to me!!! lol

Joining SP has helped motivate me and keeps me on track.

Long term I need to lose 100 lbs., but I'm focusing on the short term first! 2014 is the year that I succeed in getting where I want to be!!!!!

I'll take any tips you have on the iron skillet. I was just going to wash it and season it with a little oil. I've never used one before. I bought some cookware when we first married (47 years ago) and still use it!
