Journey to Health & Fitness

I am a 67 year old female that recently retired. I love being retired. I find it amazing how many activities are out there for seniors�and many of them are little to no cost. I live in �sunny� San Diego, California with my husband and doggie. I am pleased to say I have lost 56 lbs. in the last 2.5 years and now down to 193. My Goals:
I am now pre-diabetic and have borderline high cholesterol and high blood pressure. As such my goals include losing weight and becoming more physical active as a means to improve my health and reduce arthritic pain.

My fitness goals are water classes, elliptical and gym machines. I would enjoy being more active but find arthritis sometimes gets in the way.

My long term weight loss goal is to reach 165 lbs. which is reasonable for my 5� 4� height. I expect to reach it by 10-31-16, possibly sooner.

Another goal is to focus on what I do right, not wrong. I tend to be a little bit of a perfectionist so this is an ongoing very worthwhile challenge.

My Program:
Regular physical activity and posting it on Fitness Tracker is a routine part of my program. I also strive to stay between 1400-1600 and follow Spark People nutrition guidelines for fat, fiber cholesterol and sodium. Finally, I find doing regular meditation helps me manage stress. This is important as I tend to overeat when stressed.

Personal Information:
I enjoy playing solitaire, reading, drawing and surfing the net.
