My name is Dana and between having 2 children and a malfunctioning thyroid, I have put on a few extra pounds, ok 20 extra.

Goals for 2008
1. 155!!!!
2. Run in Bloomsday
3. Run in 2 other 5k or 10k events
4. Exercise at least 3 times a week for 30mins
5. Plan events once a month for outdoor activities. eg skiing, kicking, biking.

emoticon emoticon emoticon Well, with fall in the air and the emoticon summer coming to an end. I know for myself its time to get back to indoor activities and allowing all of you to become my mentors again. I am not good at being an indoor person in the summer as my Garden, Canning and other activities keep me very busy.

So!! After September I plan to involve myself more on the Daily Chat message boards. There is no better support than what we all give each other to help us reach our goals.

"Take time to explore the site. Become familiar with all the wonderful tools available to help you on your journey, such as the food tracker and the exercise tracker. Also, concentrate on mastering your three 'Fast Break' goals: drinking 8 cups of water per day, going for a walk, not eating in front of the TV...whatever three goals you have chosen. Try to make those goals daily habits over time." I do hope to see more of you and you see more of me as we travel down this Journey of getting healthy and feeling better.
Remember MOTIVATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS.

emoticon I can't believe I didn't stop by earlier.

this team loves to be active and we go on walks and try to have some event activity,
We chat on the daily chat, which you can find on the team page. This is where we support eachother, share ideas or just talk about life.. We do our best to keep eachother motivated.

Yay, Bloomsday is over! Okay, next is the Portland Marathon (that's in October)...there's gotta be another one around here sometime before that, though...

I am getting out my pom poms something Ive never really had and calling all past Tri-city Sparkies to come join us on the message board. I dont know if you have all reached your goals. If you have, please share with us what you did. And if you have not, come join us again! Spring is here and it is a great time to refocus on ourselves. We are going to try and get together this Sunday at the park by the Library on Union. COME JOIN US !! I am sure we all would like new friends. We can cheer each other on. LILY
