I'm originally a Pgh girl but am now calling beautiful whaling city, New Bedford MA home! I'm happily married to my dh, Bill and we have a beautiful son, Michael, who will soon be a teenager! We're also animal crazy and have two very spoilt dogs, Tucker and Sweet Pea, and seven birds (two just hatched last week!)

It is pretty exciting! We used to go to Fort Tabor for a end of school homeschool picnic with one of the groups.
I just happened to see you were now living in New Bedford- so yes lets get together. Not that close but closer than Tennessee!

Quiche -basic recipe: 8 oz bacon, sausage, or ham, cooked and chopped; 3 cups chopped veggies of your choice (I used asparagus, mushrooms and onions); 8 oz shredded cheese (I used mozzarella and cheddar, Swiss is a standard); 4 beaten eggs; 1 cup 2% milk.

Spray quiche or pie pan with Pam. Sauté veggies about 5 minutes in 1 tbsp butter. Season as desired. Spread in pan, sprinkle cheese on top, mix eggs and milk together and pour over top.

Bake in 400 degree oven about 25 mins (until knife inserted in center comes out clean). Enjoy hot or cold.
