Need to get back to getting this weight off and be movated to do it

I was diagnosed with Lupus, vasculitis and Multi-Joint Pain and some other thing but have to find out what it is cause they only put letters for it and I don't know what it means. They also said that I had congestive heart failure but had a complete cardio work up and my heart was fine except for it being a little large and the doctor was surprised that I had no blockage in my heart at all. ( I think it was because of my weight but I like veggies allot). I was diagnosed in Oct of 2000 and was ...
I was diagnosed in Oct of 2000 and was put on steroids and plaquenil and in March of 2001 ended up in the hospital with fluid in my lungs and around my heart that is when they put me on Methotrexate and the dose kept going up to control my lupus and get rid of the fluid in my lungs. The doses of the meds were prednisone 40mg. plaquenil 400mg and methotrexate 25mg injections because the methotrexate pills messed with my stomach.
After being on methotrexate for seven years my body decided that it did not like the methotrexate and my hands started swelling and hurting along with where I was giving myself the injections at. The doctor took me off and wanted to put me on something else and I told him to wait until my body got use to being off those meds and to see if I really needed something else. Luckily he agreed to what I said and my body did adjust to not having all that stuff in me and so now I just need to get my body off all the rest of the meds that I am on but I d0 know that it will be a slow process but I will do it. I also have noticed that when I eat grains that it sets off my lupus and that it causes more pain too with my arthritis. So now I eat very little grains. I only eat oats and rice in my food and try to stay away from any other grains. The two of the grains that I stay away from most is wheat and corn. Wheat because it causes all kinds of stomach problems and also makes my lupus flare and corn because it causes my tongue to swell. Both of those I do not want.
I am not worried about the two vitamins that I am on just want to get off of the steroids and the plaquenil. Both can cause eye problems.

My husband died from the chemo that he was getting and the chemo made his cancer more aggressive than before and his body could not take all that toxins and he was not getting the nutrients that his body needed because chemo kills fast growing cells and the digestive track is fast growing cells so when they kill the cancer they also kill the digestive track too. That is why most people lose weight. As a matter of fact they call it the chemo diet for that reason. I miss him so much. He was a kind and gentle man.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

The Bible tells us that God will meet all our needs. He feeds the birds of the air and clothes the grass with the splendor of lilies. How much more, then, will He care for us, who are made in His image? Our only concern is to obey the heavenly Father and leave the consequences to Him.

My Goals:
To get healthy and off all of my medications that I am on for my Lupus and be fitter than I was when I got married over 33 years ago. Need to carry on with life now that my husband is in heaven and I want to be in the best shape when my Lord and Savior comes back for the church.

My Program:
Exercise everyday except on Saturday so that my body can recover and watch what I eat. Have a problem with eating wheat that I didn't know that I have until I stopped eating and allot of my symptoms when away and when I eat wheat they come back.

Personal Information:
We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
Charles R. Swindoll

Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He's sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my worrying stopped.
Charles Stanley

Christ longs for you to walk beside Him on earth, then to join Him in heaven. He desires us to be where He is. Behold, what love the Father has lavished on us!
David Jeremiah

Other Information:
I like to read books, sew things. Do things with my hands with crafts when they are not hurting. I also like to figure things out when I am sewing and trying new things that are not suppose to go together.

Our son is also allergic to corn (and other foods) and we were able to take him off steroids (he'd been misdiagnosed as having asthma) once we removed corn and corn derivaties (dextrose, maltodextrin, xanthum gum, etc...) from his diet. It's amazing how many foods have corn and were flaring his body with face rashes and breathing issues. I'm glad you've found your triggers too. Food is so much a part of the puzzle.

Also, very sorry about your loss of your husband. You were blessed to have that love.

Very best to you today. emoticon

Thanks for your kind comment. I know I will see him again and look forward to someday being with the Lord, safe. I read your story, so tragic. My husband's cancer was so far advanced, no chemo was called for, and he almost lost his voice the last week of his life. And now, we continue on. Only God knows what the future brings.

I'm praying you have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend! I'm trusting that you'll do your best to make healthy choices! You'll reach your goals! Just keep pushing! Don't be frustrated if you don't see progress. Just put one foot in front of the other, even if you have to baby step all the way! I'm rooting for you! ~Liz from Beast Mode team
