Need to get back to getting this weight off and be movated to do it

I was diagnosed with Lupus, vasculitis and Multi-Joint Pain and some other thing but have to find out what it is cause they only put letters for it and I don't know what it means. They also said that I had congestive heart failure but had a complete cardio work up and my heart was fine except for it being a little large and the doctor was surprised that I had no blockage in my heart at all. ( I think it was because of my weight but I like veggies allot). I was diagnosed in Oct of 2000 and was ...
I was diagnosed in Oct of 2000 and was put on steroids and plaquenil and in March of 2001 ended up in the hospital with fluid in my lungs and around my heart that is when they put me on Methotrexate and the dose kept going up to control my lupus and get rid of the fluid in my lungs. The doses of the meds were prednisone 40mg. plaquenil 400mg and methotrexate 25mg injections because the methotrexate pills messed with my stomach.
After being on methotrexate for seven years my body decided that it did not like the methotrexate and my hands started swelling and hurting along with where I was giving myself the injections at. The doctor took me off and wanted to put me on something else and I told him to wait until my body got use to being off those meds and to see if I really needed something else. Luckily he agreed to what I said and my body did adjust to not having all that stuff in me and so now I just need to get my body off all the rest of the meds that I am on but I d0 know that it will be a slow process but I will do it. I also have noticed that when I eat grains that it sets off my lupus and that it causes more pain too with my arthritis. So now I eat very little grains. I only eat oats and rice in my food and try to stay away from any other grains. The two of the grains that I stay away from most is wheat and corn. Wheat because it causes all kinds of stomach problems and also makes my lupus flare and corn because it causes my tongue to swell. Both of those I do not want.
I am not worried about the two vitamins that I am on just want to get off of the steroids and the plaquenil. Both can cause eye problems.

My husband died from the chemo that he was getting and the chemo made his cancer more aggressive than before and his body could not take all that toxins and he was not getting the nutrients that his body needed because chemo kills fast growing cells and the digestive track is fast growing cells so when they kill the cancer they also kill the digestive track too. That is why most people lose weight. As a matter of fact they call it the chemo diet for that reason. I miss him so much. He was a kind and gentle man.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

The Bible tells us that God will meet all our needs. He feeds the birds of the air and clothes the grass with the splendor of lilies. How much more, then, will He care for us, who are made in His image? Our only concern is to obey the heavenly Father and leave the consequences to Him.

My Goals:
To get healthy and off all of my medications that I am on for my Lupus and be fitter than I was when I got married over 33 years ago. Need to carry on with life now that my husband is in heaven and I want to be in the best shape when my Lord and Savior comes back for the church.

My Program:
Exercise everyday except on Saturday so that my body can recover and watch what I eat. Have a problem with eating wheat that I didn't know that I have until I stopped eating and allot of my symptoms when away and when I eat wheat they come back.

Personal Information:
We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
Charles R. Swindoll

Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He's sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my worrying stopped.
Charles Stanley

Christ longs for you to walk beside Him on earth, then to join Him in heaven. He desires us to be where He is. Behold, what love the Father has lavished on us!
David Jeremiah

Other Information:
I like to read books, sew things. Do things with my hands with crafts when they are not hurting. I also like to figure things out when I am sewing and trying new things that are not suppose to go together.

To the people who love you,
you are beautiful already.
This is not because they're
blind to your shortcomings
but because they so clearly see your soul.

Good morning on this wintry Tuesday....it is where I live. The typical Northern, winter weather--no sun, grey sky, everything covered with ice, and cold. Fortunately, it's not below zero and there isn't a blizzard.

I am thinking about getting a scale today. Noticed that my clothes are a little looser. So this is giving me an incentive to buy that scale. And to keep pushing me forward.

Today is the 10th day of 100 days to getting healthier. I have been continuously moving around a lot more. Because of the icy conditions here during the winter, I am doing the Leslie Sansome walking DVD's, as well as dancing. This is the kind of exercises I can stick with, as well as have fun doing them and sing. Plus I get to laugh at myself too.

Yesterday I was in a lot of pain! Oh, the three herniated discs in my back were sending shocks down my arms and legs. I could not sleep all night. Now I feel like a zombie. Oh, I would like to crawl back into bed. But I am making progress on deep cleaning my house, so I am going to keep cleaning/organizing just at a slower pace. If I walk away, it will not be touched.

I am working hard to eat more vegetables. I eat chicken and fish two-three days per week, and lots of vegetables everyday. My stomach is much better now that I have cut out the coffee. My morning beverage is green tea. Making home-made soups have helped me feel fuller. Plus, the soups have taken away much of my cravings for sweets.

Being busy around the house, deep cleaning and re-organizing has taken my mind off of food. It feels so good to not be nibbling on this and that, only to feel guilty of over eating, as well as seeing the scale go up another pound or two. Taking pictures of my house before and after have helped me feel very pleased with the house. And, it is so good not to hear from name being called because my husband or children cannot find something. Now they can--that sure makes me feel the rewards of organizing.

Wow, this is a long note....I will close now, "HAPPY TUESDAY".
