Hi Diya, I saw your question about disassociating eating with social events. I have the same exact issue as well. I have found that if I eat before going to the event or out for the night I don't have the urge to then eat while socializing (and thus overeating because I am not paying attention). At first I thought it would be no fun to eat before leaving the house but have found that it's simply not true for myself. In fact, I have a more enjoyable time when out because I am more focused on my friends and the conversations than the food. And then I feel so good about the wise choice(s) that I made. I try to make my meals that I eat at home just as good or better than what I would be eating while out. And they happen to be better for me anyways. If I feel that I still need to have something to eat, I'll then order a salad or veggies to nosh on. I hope this helps. 3135 days ago
