It Is My Time Now

I am making 2014 my year. Now that I am retired I can focus on my health and fitness goals. I can sleep better and best of all, no more stress from work.

39 years in the nursing profession has taken it's toll, arthritis in my knees, bilateral shoulder injuries one of which I am currently being treated for! And of course, lower back.

My focus will be on moving more, strength training and stretching. When my shoulder is completely healed I want to take up yoga. For ...

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I was stuck at the same weight for 4 days like I wrote and was really frustrated. They advised cutting back on dairy and upping the fluids for a day and see what happens. Also, to add asparagus on PV days as it is a natural diuretic. Another was to add 15 minutes to my walk (which I wasn't doing). The other suggestions did the trick. It nudged the scale and I've lost the past 2 days. Another (if all else fails) suggestion was to substitute the next PV day for a PP day and thereby do 3 PP in a row. I didn't need to go to that extreme. Good luck on your journey and God Bless.
