2013 Right NOW - Have a New Beginning. Take the energy we have regarding NewYears & bring it to each new day. Everyday we can renew our goals realizing it is a new beginning point. I haven't gotten back to my heaviest though I have put weight back on. In the past I have surrendered to giving up, instead of surrendering to change. Posted 2009 - I have worked hard to permanently lose 20 lbs and to extend that off and on to 30 lbs. That is progress. Of course, I work hard to give myself credit for actual progress and have that overshadow the negative thoughts that I have not lost what I SHOULD have. I am more active now and had a summer of bike rides of over 20 miles. MIRACLES. I will be President of the local quilt guild in 2010. I do have to figure out some inexpensive winter activities. Exercise is the key for me.
Posted in 2008: I could list my true hobbies (things I actually spend time doing) in this order: Wasting time, Thinking, Day Dreaming, Wondering, Eating, Sleeping, TV - in other words things that I can easily do on my couch - but I am no Couch Potato - not me - I am a Divan Diva - just ask my family! I think that I am royalty and people should weight on me hand and foot. No one is lining up!
I struggle with laziness and consistency which I think is so intricately interwoven with my depression issues that it is hard to get a handle on it. I was born in my grandmother's house in a small town in Northern California - Cottonwood. I have lived in several places - all in Western States: Shasta County CA, Salt Lake City UT, Honolulu HI, St.George UT. I have one daughter finishing up her B.S. - she will graduate before 21! She is in SAN FRAN. I am married - 3rd time is a charm. I have worked full time since I was 18 and work as an executive assistant right now and also work in a local quilt shop a couple of Sat. a mo. to fund my fun! I have 3 cats - siamese, fabulouse maine coon and a silly squatter cat.
My mother's word for couch was Divan. I enjoy listening to Audio Books.
