Sick of being fat!

Hi, my name is Michelle and I would like to lose almost 100 lbs. I actually just found some old pictures of myself from about 7-11 years ago. I was SOOO thin! But the sad thing is, I always thought I looked big. Now, at 32, 229 lbs and a size 20, I really AM big. And it's that much harder to lose weight. I want to look good for ME!! I want to learn how to be happy with my size (once it's a healthy size) and learn to appreciate any progress I make. I am definitely too hard on myself. ...

I want to learn how to be happy with my size (once it's a healthy size) and learn to appreciate any progress I make. I am definitely too hard on myself. My schedule really makes it difficult to work out regularly. I try to walk at work and not give into boredom eating. I work 12 hour shifts, most of which I spend on my butt. Since starting here 5 years ago, I've gained about 50 pounds. This has to stop! I just don't know how! I've been on this site for a few years now and am still gaining.

My Program:
Trying to eat better and exercise more. Not as easy as it sounds...lol. This site is definitely helping to keep me on track. I am not as disciplined as I would like to be, but I think I have a food addiction so I'm trying to work through that.

Personal Information:
I currently reside in Levittown, PA. I'm a 911 dispatcher. It's not as glamorous as it sounds. I have a Boxer baby named Peanut, she will be a year old Nov. 16. She is the world to me! I just adore her. I like to do crafts, especially crochet and making baby baskets for showers. I'd like to start a business selling my handmade items. I'm looking for friends with similar interests!

Good Morning! Thanks for the nice compliments. I will write you a little later about how I have been successfull. I was actually thinking about writing a blog for all the people that have been asking. A few things that I can tell you is that I started slow. I could not do the JM 30 DS for the life of me at first but I did what I could and at my pace. Mind you this was only a couple month's ago when I was 165. But when I first started out I modified what I was eating and how much and then I started to incorporate the exercise. What I did when I was 220 lbs was start with te Leslie Sandsone Walk at Home DVD's. At first I couldnt even do a mile or let alone a half a mile but everyday or every couple days I did a little more and after months I was doing 4 and 5 miles with ease. Like I said i'll write more later but gotta go for now. Have a wonderful day, Brenna

Hey Girlfriend! How's that goal going?? I set the same goal right before Thanksgiving. I didn't give myself a number, but, I was determined to lose during the Holidays. As of today, I am down 4lbs. You are so much stronger then you think. I belong to the emotional eaters group too. Until we figure out why we are eating, we will gain and lose the same weight 100's of times. Have you read any of Geneen Roth's books? "When Food is Love" and "Women, Food and God" I found to be especially helpful. Hang in there and know that your SP friends are here for you! HUGS!!!
