Hello! Thanks for the comment on my page! I am very excited to be in the 100's! :) I'm only .2 pounds away from being at 40 pounds lost! It feels sooooo good!
There really is no "secret". I have just been VERY committed and motivated to stay on track...which I've never done before. That is definitely the KEY to success. I eat lean meats, whole grains, TONS of veggies, lots of fruits and rarely eat out. On most days I stay within 1200-1500 calorie. I eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day rather than 3 larger meals. Each meal consists of 300-400 calories each. My snacks are around 200 calories or less and I usually have 1 or 2 snacks (healthy ones) during the day. Eating every few hours is great to keep your metabolism up and to keep you from getting hungry and binging. Don't be fooled though, I give myself a "cheat meal" or two throughout the week. I don't restrict myself because it only makes you feel guilty if you end up indulging. I work it into my diet. Like last night, I took my son to Cold Stone creamery. I just got a small portion.
As far as working out goes, I try to get to the gym 4x per week. If i cannot make it to the gym for whatever reason, I still try to get a workout in somehow. Like mowing our lawn or popping in the 30 Day Shred at home. I mix it up and do weight training and cardio. I LOVE Les Mills classes like BodyStep, BodyPump, and BodyCombat. I do them at my gym.
Anyways...I'm not sure what everyone else's routines are, but this is what i've been doing. What do you typically do?? What's your average week look like?
