Discovering myself again...

My name is Mina and I live in a small but beautiful town called Jackman located on the Canadian border in Maine. I'm 37 years old. I've been with my soul mate for 18+ years and married to him for the past 15+ years and I still get that butterfly feeling in my stomach when he walks into to a room. We have 4 children together. All BOYS! Their ages range from 8 to 17 years old. I am a Wife and a Mom 1st and foremost, I'm a bartender and a licensed Nail Tech 2nd. I, like everyone else on ...

I've been with my soul mate for 18+ years and married to him for the past 15+ years and I still get that butterfly feeling in my stomach when he walks into to a room. We have 4 children together. All BOYS! Their ages range from 8 to 17 years old. I am a Wife and a Mom 1st and foremost, I'm a bartender and a licensed Nail Tech 2nd. I, like everyone else on here, am here for my weight issues. I've been overweight for nearly 16 years now since the birth of my 1st child. I had lost all but 5 lbs. after his birth and found out that I was pregnant with my 2nd son and have not been able to lose the weight since. I'm not a yo-yo dieter because any weight I've lost, I've keep it off for the most part. I tipped the scales at 251 lbs. at one time, since then I've gotten down to 220 lbs and fluctuate between that 233. and can't seem to get over the hump and lose more. I'm here, and not just for lack of trying this site before because I have, but now I think my heart is finally into it.....I hope! Encouragement is welcome, and also new friends.

I hope things are going well for you and you are enjoying this beautiful weather! We spent the day at the beach (ocean) and the evening at our camp yesterday. Will probably do the same today, I just have to try not to eat the snacks with the kids! I did have 4 toasted marshmallows last night :) The weight has been coming off very slowly, but staying off most of the time (sometime sup and down a lb or 2). I work out every morning, but continue to eat too much!

Thank you for the comments on my blogs.... I am doing this again but hopefully with a different mindset!!

Great job on the walking!!!!!! I was thinking about doing the Couch to 5k at some point but I don't really know when. For now I will stick with my workout videos!

Hey Mina,
I just saw your post to my blog in December when I was doing so bad, mentally and physically but I feel so much better now! Thank you so much for all your thoughts and words of encouragement. I know the weather doesn't bother me, but maybe vitamin d would help me BUT I know the depression pills help me, I am on a higher dose and I am seeing how they make me feel, it will take a while. But when I am doing well, I feel well. So yeah that's that. I hope you are doing good and I'm sorry I haven't called, I just don't really have much time and or don't really know what to say... like I said I am shy and I don't know... I just like to blog and get my feelings out in writing it's the best way I can explain myself without getting all emotional and such. Well I should get to bed so I can get up tomorrow morning and exercise, have a great weekend! thanks again for posting to that depressing blog entry I had... I just read it and I totally feel like a different person today, just goes to show what eating better and exercising does do for you! Take care!

I know, I'm just shy around everyone. It's like a little war in my head... do I say something or don't and well DUH of course I should say something! so yeah anyways I think you looked awesome... I was even a little jealous. Yes we should keep in touch and we should Kirstie doing it with us... I will message her sometime and see how she's doing.... I know she was exercising but I don't see her much on here and there at the bank and when they come over for supper...life gets in the way! NO MORE, time to make time for this! So yes we will keep in touch! =) Keep up the good work Mina. I know it is really hard working in a restaurant, I used to have a hard time at Moose Point... I just drank A LOT of water to feel full...
