Choosing to live Healthy and Happy!

I used to weight over 270 pounds! I lost 135 pounds! September 8, 2007 is the day I lost 100 pounds! I am proud that I have kept those 100 pounds off for 6 years. I wish it were easy. It's not! I gained back 30 pounds. I lost 16.5 of those pounds in 2013! I keep my 135 pound picture along with my 270+ pound picture to keep my goals in mind. I consistently exercise and work out. I eat healthy foods. I just eat too much of the healthy food.

My husband and I have recently moved to Kentucky for two years. I love the beauty of the state and the friendliness of the people here. I am still really missing my children and grandchildren back home in Arizona and in California.

Moving here to Kentucky has made possible our 50 states goal - a definite upside to the move. My hubby and I set a goal two years ago to run a race in all 50 states. Kentucky is wonderfully close to so many states we are excited! We are shooting for a state a month. I'm 65 and my husband is 69 so we've got to do it while we're young - haha!

I love Spark People for the inspiration and support I get to continue on my healthy and happy life journey!

My Goals:
Not giving up on getting back to new goal weight!

Stay healthy so I can run for a long, long time!

Put in more biking mileage during 2013.

Healthy eating.

Meditate daily.

Run 3x a week.

P90X strength training 3x a week.

Bike 3x a week.



Personal Information:
I just recently moved to Kentucky from Arizona. My husband will be working here for two years. We're excited to pursue our goal of running a race in all 50 states. Kentucky borders SO many states! Woo hoo!



Other Information:
Sept 8, 2006 is the day I reached my 100 pound weight loss!
