Hi! I’m Becky, the Registered Dietitian with Sparkpeople. I live on my “family farm” in southern Indiana with my husband, daughter, and son. It is a small rural community. The closest fast food restaurant is 20 miles away and the nearest shopping mall requires a 50 minute drive. Yes, it is slightly slower-paced, but a pace that I cherish.

The closest fast food restaurant is 20 miles away and the nearest shopping mall requires a 50 minute drive. Yes, it is slightly slower-paced, but a pace that I cherish.

I enjoy working in my vegetable garden, preparing new recipes, sewing, and walking in my woods with my canine companions, Roxie and Cassius. My children will tell you that I am fixated on eating meals together as a family at the kitchen table. This is often the only chance to connect and catch-up. It is a time to comfort the pains of the day and celebrate the joys of living.

I also admit that I am a techno-nerd. I do not Twitter. I cannot Facebook. Heck, I don’t even own a cell phone. However, I do enjoy connecting with others at Sparkpeople as we journey together to improve our health. So join me, as we:

Ignite our inner fire,
Fuel the blaze daily,
And spread the SPARK to others.

Nutritionally Yours, Dietitian Becky

Thanks for the answer about that challenge. Also I do appreciate the friend add. I have done so too.
I too live in a very rural area and now my 3 dogs and I are going out for a walk in the woods.
Have a great day.

Hi
First of all, thanks for the great tips I have found on spark coach.

Another sparker and I were wondering if there will be a fall challenge re the Spark Solution. I think the question is under the thread Day 1 - June 24 on the Spark Solution official team page.

We will watch for an announcement about this.

Thanks again. emoticon

Hi, Becky! I am trying to log in my nutrition for the first time today. At lunch I had a 1/2 cup of cooked Barilla plus angel hair pasta. Everything I have pulled up on nutrition for this product lists it by 2 oz. Do you know if that would be dry or cooked, and how many ounces a half cup cooked would be? Sorry to bother you...I am just trying to get this right! Thanks so much. Laura
