My husband and I are following a low-carb, high fat (LCHF) diet with one day per week skipping breakfast and lunch (fasting from dinnertime Sunday to dinnertime Monday). We have both been achieving good results with little hunger, no cravings and not much interference in our lives (for example, the food plan is very easy to follow in restaurants, parties, etc.). We consider this our new way of life, not a diet, and are doing it for health reasons as much as weight loss. Hope that helps!
