I tried Spark once before and lost almost 40 lbs so here I go again. Most of it is back but hoping this time I can keep it off.

My Goals:
My goals are to try to lose 5 lbs a month. Sounds easy, but I have a bad habit of losing a few and then eating bad foods for a day. I usually get back on track and with Sparks, I feel as though I can actually stay on track.

My Program:
Just being able to track what I eat is a big help. Also knowing I am not the only one doing this helps. My daughter and I are supporting each other and hopefully we will both "win".

Personal Information:
I am a mother of a grown girl and grown boy, both out on their own. I live in PA and work for a utility there. Hopefully I will be able to retire in a few years and enjoy the traveling that my husband of 37 years and I like to do.

Other Information:
I've read all the Harry Potter books and love to read mystery (especially Agatha Christie). My reading goal this year is to read the A-T books by Sue Grafton.

Have a happy early Mommy's Day... I am sure the other half of your children will take you out since he lives nearby. :)

Love ya Mom!

PS For anyone else ready this, she definitely does NOT look like that pic anymore! That shirt would be a bit big on her, not tight. :)

I was reading some older emails today and saw that you had joined our 50+ Members Team so I thought I would stop by, say hi, and welcome you to the team...better late than not at all. You will receive lots of support and encouragement from everyone. Just post any prayer requests, questions, comments or suggestions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
You have come to the right place. Take advantage of what Spark has to offer. I want to see you accomplish your goals. Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Remember to just take one day at a time on this journey of a lifetime. This journey consists of many small steps, a few speed bumps and pot holes, and a lot of fun. I will be here for you and try to help you on this journey to your goals. YOU can do this!!!
CONGRATULATIONS on your 17 pound weight loss!!! TERRIFIC!!!You are creating a body that is strong and balanced!
Watch your portion control. Be sure to drink plenty of water (8 - 8oz glasses a day) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of weight loss and lowering numbers. Start small if that is all you can do or have time to do and add to it as you are able. Even 5-10 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. Invest in a good pedometer (about $10) and see how many steps you currently take each day. Before long you will be adding steps just to see how many you can do and how far you can go. WHAT A GREAT MOTIVATOR!!! YOU can do this!!! It's good to meet and have you with us.
God bless you on your journey to a healthier you. Take each day as it comes and enjoy it to the fullest!!!
God's blessings to you.
Hugs,
Helen

"If you planted hope in a heart today in any hopeless heart,
If someone's burden was lighter because you did your part,
If you caused a laugh that chased a tear away,
If tonight your name is mentioned when someone kneels to pray,
