January 2012: REALLY back... again.
I'm cutting calories, trying to eat mostly whole foods, including 7 fruits and veggies every day and legumes every day. Also doing cardio at least 30 minutes a day six days a week to start.
November 2011: I'm baaaaaaacckkk AGAIN. I don't think I was really back in June. I've just gone UP since then.

June 2011: I'm baaaaackkkk! Was at 130 for a while, but jumped back up to 140 in past three months from emotional eating. Arghhh! So, back on the exercise and eating right/better/less wagon!
March 2010: I've done some weight and exercise ups and downs in the past few years, but in the past year went up-up-up to my highest weight ever (150 on 3/9/2010), and I had stopped exercising completely, was having some back problems, and my stomach had gotten so big it was sticking out past my breasts -- that was the point where I said, "Arggghhhh!" and decided to start the change back to a healthy body.
I used to be very athletic most of my life and always in a healthy weight range, though never "thin." In elementary school I ice skated, roller skated, biked, and did tap-dancing & gymnastics. In high school I started swimming on a team and kept that up for about 6 years. Then I got into mountain and road cycling in the 1990s, and at my peak I was riding 3000-5000 miles a year. I got really busy at work from 1999 onwards and slowly backed off my exercise schedule and by 2003 I had gained 20 pounds and had stopped exercising except for the sporadic ride or hike. I set about getting back in shape in November of that year, and after 7 months of concentrated training in cycling, swimming, and walking/jogging, I had lost 18 pounds and had completed the AIDS bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 7 days by July 2004 (see photo at left). I was back to a great weight and fitness level, but then slacked off and gained it all back and then some. And here I am...
My Goals:
I want to get back into the 115-125 range and into decent shape (i.e. hike 8-10 hilly miles, swim a mile without having to stop, bike 50 hilly miles... and not be tired afterwards).
My Program:
Starting again! 148 = JAN 6 2012 145 = JAN 25 2012 140 = MAR 15 2012 135 = APR 18 2012 130 = 125 = 120 =
