Hi thanks for stopping by .....

In my 20's 30's 40's and early 50's I never once exercised!!!Sparkpeople changed my life. I had been bedridden for 12 years due to illness, in turn which lead to an increase of weight by 60 lbs. I needed to get back on my feet and healthy..... googled weight loss program and here my journey began.

In my 20's 30's 40's and early 50's I never once exercised!!!Sparkpeople changed my life. I had been bedridden for 12 years due to illness, in turn which lead to an increase of weight by 60 lbs. I needed to get back on my feet and healthy..... googled weight loss program and here my journey began.

I lost 50 lbs. in the first 3 years looking good and feeling great ..... then I accidently injured my knee, not able to exercise as much awaiting for knee surgery which took 2 years. Gained back 20 lbs. (ouch) I'm slowly getting back on track having l 've lost 8.6 lbs. since surgery in April. I'm 62 now and it seems so much more difficult to loose the weight....... sooooooo S L O W !

I will conquer this, I refuse to give up ........ I'm stubborn :D

My Goals:

Loose 60 Lbs. (hoped to do this by the age of 60, didn't happen - now working on attaining a loss of 55 lbs. (total) by the end of 2014 (fingers crossed) 1.4 lbs. per week.

Gain Muscle Mass (we loose so much as we age. (less fat and flab)

Loose the Belly Fat

Healthy BMI - 24.9

My Program:

I don't Diet. I use all of the Tools from Sparkpeople. LTGL

1. I weigh, track and logI everything I eat and drink. I've always taken the time to enter all Nutritional Info. for every grocery item I purchase. It was a lot of work at first but now my "Favourites" in SP Nutrition has made it so easy for tracking.

Ensure that all necessary Nutrients are met (i.e. fibre, calcium, sodium, etc.)

Drink 8-10 cups of water daily

Daily Calorie Differential of at least 500


2. Exercise 7 days/wk (unless I'm ill) which includes:

5-6 days a week 2 hours at the gym at 5:00 am (I love this time hardly anyone there, I get to try out different things) 1 hour of cardio and 1 hour of Strength Training.

1 day a week 2 hours at home with a project ..... i.e. dancing while cleaning house; jump rope, hula-hoop, kettle bell, (I get bored easily so I'm always attempting to find a way to get

My Family's the most important love of my life!!
Married 39 years, we have 2 Adult Children (Daughter 36, Son 33 and 4 ADORABLE!!Grandchildren (10, 9, 5 and 1 1/2) and "Moby the 4th" our Lovebird

My Health:
- Chronic Migraines for the past 45 years triggered by weather and barometer fluctuations.

- Osteoporosis, Arthritis, High Blood Pressure all diagnosed in my 60's
