Update 2/17/16: My doctor said it's time to start talking about surgical options. I begged for 3 months to change her mind.....

Update 1/5/15: After a year of irritating health problems and hubby getting some potentially scary news from the Doctor, we are ready to commit to being healthy. I managed to lose 20 pounds last year, so I am starting this year at 249, though I'm not really focused on weight, but on health (Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, and Cholesterol), hoping to fix that through a healthier diet and dusting off my treadmill.

Update 1/2/14: Staring Again? at 269 pounds.

Update 6/18/12: I'm one year post partum, and I keep gaining weight! When I got on the scale and saw that I gained 5 more pounds I realized that I was going to gain it all back unless I did something. I know that with my PCOS and insulin resistance the heavier I get the fast I gain weight and the harder it is to lose.

Update 9/14/11: Baby Avery came on 6/12/11 and is such a good baby! I gained alot more with my pregnancy than I intended, but the biggest problem was the weight I gained post partum! My HW was 242, but I got down to 217. I am now back up to 236.6.

Update 11/14/10: The weight loss plans are on hold, due to a major surprise pregnancy. Estimated Due Date: 6/17/11 My Weight loss ticker is changed to reflect the amount that I want to gain. PPW 204, max weight 219! (As I've already reached that 15 pounds, am adding another 10 pounds to ticker!)

2010: I've been at Spark for almost 4 years! I lost 83 pounds in 2006, gained it back in 2007, consulted with a DR. in '08 and took 45 pounds back off.

For the first 10 months of 2009 I gained and lost the same 5-10 pounds. And ended the year about 10 pounds down.

Thus far in '10, I'm down an additional 20 pounds. I would like to reach 169 before my next Dr.'s Appt. in November.

And I would like to reach my Final Goal of 143 pounds by my 5th spark anniversary 6/1/11

    So glad you realized what it is and that it's feeling better! Hope it completely feels better soon! Just keep doing what you're doing and I think that once you start getting rid of the excess weight, the pain will go away. That's what happened for me in January.

    YOU CAN DO THIS!! It seriously could be the excess weight pushing on the nerves/joints of the hip. Just keep doing what you're doing, modifying when needed. Eat as well as you can and drink plenty of water. Don't beat yourself up over a mistake. Just get back up and keep going.

    When I first started out back in 2012, I was ALWAYS sore!!! My body was NOT used to physical activity! Things did get better. But over Christmas, my tailbone was so sore I could barely sit, stand, lay, etc, because all the water weight from ham (my Christmas favorite!) was right on my hips/low back. I didn't do barely ANY exercising for 2 weeks straight. So when I started up again, I was sore a lot! But we had also run out of protein powder right before Christmas and didn't get any til mid January. Once the protein powder got back in my system, the pain gradually subsided. Now, I'm usually only in pain if I do too much. I'm thinking all the planks is breaking up the belly fat (even if I'm not seeing it, I'm feeling it)...or the pain could have been caused from eating gluten again when I hadn't for almost 2 weeks. My body won't tolerate it. I'm not sure. For you, I'd just say keep doing what you can. Take lots of baths (people say epsom salts but I don't use those anymore...I use baking soda, ground ginger, and lavender oil, then shower off the toxins that flushed out of my body and clean my bathtub afterwards). Drink plenty of water!

    Please don't think I got discouraged! I truly appreciate input! And I'm so proud of you for starting again! I saw you'll have to have surgery! I'm praying for you! How's Avery? I barely see any of your posts on FB...stupid FB is always taking away people's feeds! I wasn't posting that status to make you feel bad! Like I said, I truly need input. Other people tell me I'm doing too much, and compared to last year, I feel I'm not doing anything at all!!! Last year, I walked over 2,000 miles!
